September Life Update 2018

It’s October! Which means Halloween parties, candy, being a month closer to the holidays, and another update! I feel like so far I don’t really get my goals accomplished, but I’m going to keep trying to check things off my goal list. With that being said, let’s get started on my September life update!

As per usual, first I’m going to show you guys the goals I made for September, talk about what I did/didn’t accomplish, and share with you guys my goals for this month.

Unaccomplished Goals

So guys I really wanted to work on my poetry book again, but I just can’t find the time. Not only am I so busy because of school, but my brain is also just exhausted as well and my creative juices aren’t flowing much right now. Hopefully once I’m done with this semester I’ll be able to get back to it. I’m so jealous because my cousin just published his book so I have to get on it. But, If you want to check his book out, you can purchase it here!

Sadly another goal I have yet to accomplish is time management when it comes to my classes. I’m the worst procrastinator and I have a professor who gives so much unnecessary work, that other classes are suffering. I’m still going to try my best to get it together (especially because I kind of have no choice) and pray that I can learn time management because without it and without proper studying time grades suffer (tip for any new college students).

So guys I have not been able to purchase my domain, which I hate. Purchasing my domain will have to take a back burner for now, not because I’m not sure if it’s something I want to do or not, but because I just need the money. If you would like to help support me, I do have a Ko-fi that is available to go towards my poetry book and purchasing my domain.

Let’s just talk about this whole going to bed early and waking up early thing. I will not lie, it’s damn near impossible when you have super late night meetings. I started off pretty good with waking up early to do devotions before school, but it just didn’t work after a while. I wanted to do my devotions before my day started, but I may have to come up with a new plan.

Accomplished Goals

This is more so a list of goals that I at least began or that I partially accomplished (which in my eyes is a start right?) First, developing a workout plan and keeping it going with meal planning didn’t exactly 100% get accomplished. I did meal planning for a week, but that had to be put on the back burner because I don’t have money to buy my own food every week (I live with my grandparents if you didn’t know) so I didn’t want to use up all the food I had. I did start working out though and I’m pretty proud of myself. I still have a lot more work to do with the whole combo of eating healthy and working out, but just how mostly consistent I’ve been thus far with working out is a huge accomplishment.

Again, another partially done goal, which is making a resume/ applying to jobs and getting interviews. I know it’s kind of odd to not go ahead and make the resume, but I haven’t had the time to make one yet (I know, shame on me). I’ve barely had the time or energy to sit down and apply to jobs either, but I have done a few quick online applications. No job interviews yet, but fingers crossed for good things to come.

Goals for October

○ Work on eating healthier/ develop a solid workout schedule

○continue to practice time management and better studying habits

○Drink more water

○work on updating social media’s more for my blog/connect with other bloggers more

○continue working on applying for jobs

○listen to more podcasts in the morning

○Do daily devotions

Did you accomplish the goals you made for last month? What are your October goals?
