We have made it to the middle of the week and I can just taste the food already! I’m going to stuff my face and nobody will be able to stop me! Speaking of stuffing my face, if you read Monday’s blog post, then you know I talked about women and the struggle with society’s view on body image, insecurities with body image, and being afraid to eat like you really want because of those things. I even shared a bit of my own story.
This is why, when Da’sia asked me to read and review her new Ebook, Regaining Peace: A Step By Step Guide To Putting Anxiety In Its Place, I was excited! I struggle a lot with anxiety, and some of that is paired with how I feel about my body and how others might react when just being out in public. I know I said in the past I wasn’t doing book reviews anymore, but this one I truly resonate with and just couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Also, this blog supports mental health and anything that could help you guys, I’m all for sharing. With that being said, yes I was gifted this Ebook, but all thoughts are 100% my own. Now let’s get into it!

Look/aesthetic
I know the saying goes not to judge a book by its cover, but I’m huge on aesthetics and looks. I’m attracted to certain colors and fonts, and this Ebook did it for me right out the gate! I love the girly look of it, and you’re drawn in from the beginning with a very welcoming photo of Da’sia and some background information.
Information
The information is not only relatable because I deal with some of these things myself, but it’s accurate and not just opinions. One thing I love that she does throughout the book is adding in quotes. I love reading the quotes and it kind of adds a break in between, which is perfect for me because my attention span can be a little short. The tips she gives in the book are helpful and, not only did I realize somethings about myself and my anxiety, but I had a few takeaways that I plan on trying!
Overall thoughts
The last thing I want to add is how there are worksheets at the end. I actually read some of the questions and answered them. They help you logically think about what causes your anxiety and about the different outcomes. The affirmations at the end are also reassuring and great to look at and read if you are starting to feel a little anxious. Overall, I loved this book and I would/will read it again!
Final star rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I hope that this review was helpful and if you decide to purchase it for yourself, be sure to let Da’sia know how you enjoyed the book yourself!
