Podcasts You Should Try!

Happy Monday everyone!

If you didn’t know, I recently started my own podcast that plays on Spotify and Anchorfm, and I just finished with season 1. Before I started podcasting, I’ve been trying to get into the habit of listening to podcasts in the mornings when I’m driving. I’m not going to lie, I’m a bit picky when it comes to podcasts because it takes a lot to keep my attention when just listening to someone talk. I really wanted to wait to do this post until I’ve listened to more podcasters, but that would’ve taken forever. If I need to do a part 2, then I definitely will but until then, check out these awesome podcasts below!

tfbg Therapy For Black Girls

This was the first podcast that I ever started listening to last year and I still love it! I feel like therapy is really important for anybody but especially black people and definitely black girls. Dr. Joy’s podcasts discussions on her episodes are everything and always keep me intrigued and ready to take notes.

slay Slay Girl Slay

Y’all, this podcast is by Ashley Leggs and I swear I never miss an episode! Listening to her podcasts are actually what inspired me to start my own podcast. Her podcasts are so motivating and just make me feel like I’m ready to take on the day. She’s so relatable and I love that.

brunch Brunch With Bri

Grab your mimosas because it’s time to brunch with Bre! I’ve just recently started listening to Bre and so far I’m in love with her podcasts. I highly recommend you check her out. Season 1 is done, but season 2 is coming soon so make sure you catch up!

coffeetalk Coffee Talk

If you watch Youtube, then you might know Kalyn from there. Her videos are so motivating and always making me want to clean or try and get my life together, so it’s no surprise her podcasts make me feel the same way. I suggest watching her podcast for tips that can help you get your life together!

mee The Black Princess Diaries

Of course, I had to give myself a shoutout as well! I discuss different topics that I hope will bring you guys motivation or some type of take-home message or just to make you feel better than you did before you listened. I’m still very fresh with podcasting and I’ll get better in time. I’ve finished with season 1, but you have time to catch up before I come back with season 2!

If you have any more suggestions on podcasts I should try, I’d love for you guys to leave them in the comments!

  1. Congratulations. I am going to check your pod cast out. I have considered starting one myself. I love blogging whether its writing or via pod cast because it gives you a voice. Good Luck on your new endeavor.
