There’s just something about the first of the month being on a Monday. I’m not sure what it is exactly. Having the first day of a new month begin at the beginning of the week is like a super charge or something. With that being said, new month means new goals and a review of the goals I accomplished the previous month.
Spoiler alert: I didn’t do so well this month.
I think it’s okay that I didn’t get everything done this month. It’s been a lot going on the entire beginning of the year, but May especially has just been the big bang thus far of 2020. I’ll do a mini discussion about that at the end of this post though, but for now, let’s go over the goals I had for May and what I accomplished.
Work on shop. I have honestly been so busy that I only had a day or two to focus on the progress of my shop, but at the end of the day I did do SOMETHING. I still haven’t given out much details on it, but I’m excited for when I do!
Grow my subscribers. I’m so happy to say that I have finally gotten a few more subscribers! I was in a bit of a rut because every since I’ve gone self-hosted, I’ve been at a stand still and I thought I didn’t have something set up right. I’m still wondering, but for now I’ll let it slide. If you’ve experienced this when you first went self-hosted, I’d love some advice.
Post more/interact on ALL socials. I think I’ve done a pretty good job of this. Surprisingly, interacting can be one of the hardest things to do. It takes so much of your time because you want to interact with everyone and you also want it to be genuine. Also please note that when you’re introverted, talking online constantly can be just as much as if you’ve had a lot of in-person interactions…at least for me.
I feel embarrassed to say that I couldn’t say I drank enough water this month. Who would’ve thought that drinking a sufficient amount of water would be difficult?? Crazy right!? Well, I’m not going to give up!
So, let’s see what goals I have for June.
♥Work on shop
♥Create more content for Instagram
♥Study and apply notes
♥ work on health (includes drinking more water, eating better, working out)
♥continue to practice ASL
Before I end this post, I just want to say that a lot is going on right now and it’s not a new struggle, but a continuing struggle for the black community. If you’re a true ally, then I hope you’re standing up for what’s right. Being silent is being part of the problem.
Black lives matter, always mattered, and always will matter.
