July Monthly Update 2020: Numbers Are The Goal

Hello my loves and happy Monday! I don’t know about any of you, but I really didn’t realize August was here when it came. I’ve had so much going on in the past week that when July 31st came, I had nothing prepared for August, so I’m playing catch up this week and getting everything done.

As you read my goals for this month, you’ll notice that numbers will be the main focus when it comes to my goals. I know it’s not typical of me and I always say how I don’t focus on the numbers or stats. I even made a blog post about it. However, I want to try something different and see how it goes. Maybe I’ll become a little more motivated to work even hard, or maybe I’ll end up doing just the thing I avoid by not paying attention to the stats…worrying. Regardless, there is nothing wrong with trying it out. Before I get to my goals for August, here’s a review of my July goals and which ones I accomplished.

Study and expand craft. I’ve taken a couple virtual marketing and content bootcamps and classes with Ebooks, notes, and more to keep. I’ve been bad at looking back at those things, but I decided to change that. I didn’t study as much as I had in mind, but I will continue looking back at notes and not letting this knowledge just sit and collect dust.

Work on my self care. My self care has just been the worst since quarantine. I’m not sure if it’s my depression creeping back up on me or what, but it’s become a struggle again to just do basic everyday needs. These are things that I had to do at least every other day or every few days because I had to get ready for work. I decided to restock on my skincare products that I ran out of and start at least doing my daily skincare routine. Did I do it everyday? No, but I did do it most days and I’m pretty proud of myself.

I only succeeded at two things in July, but two is a lot better than none. Random reminder to always celebrate the small victories no matter how small.

Now let’s check out my goals for August!

What’s a goal you have for August?

Comments

  1. I should be setting goals, too! Sometimes I don’t want to put the pressure on myself and give it up to God. But is that a cop out? The one goal I have had in the last two weeks is to get through to unemployment and if I put as much energy into everything else as I have with that, I would probably be pretty successful!

    • The thing about that is, if you want something to happen, you have to still put the work in. It’s great to give it to God but you have to do your part as well. You should try setting a few goals for this month. It doesn’t have to be a lot maybe just two small ones, and then work towards those. I believe you can do it!

  2. These are all such great goals to have for August! Wishing you all the best in succeeding them and crushing it!!

  3. Great goals! I really need to start setting monthly goals. I bought a bullet journal a few months ago to help with that but haven’t even started it.

    • Well let’s get started then! Take it out right now and write down those goals and let’s get them done. I believe in you ♥

  4. These are great goals to have – well done for setting them and following through! My goals for August are to fill up my September advertising slots and sell 10 copies of my eBook which gets released on Friday!

    Love, Em
