Or maybe I just don’t want to.
A lot of times you see advice in the blogosphere that you should be sticking to maybe 1-3 niches. I just made up those numbers based on what I’ve seen. For example: some people are strictly book bloggers, some are lifestyle and beauty, some may be lifestyle, beauty, and travel. You get the idea. Now, I’m not saying that the advice given is bad. That could be the advice that soars you to the top and maybe I’m just being a smidge bit stubborn. I just don’t believe that I have to stick to one certain topic or niche.
Here’s a list of the things that I discuss/post on my blog:
- Life( I’ll include monthly updates with this one)
- poetry
- beauty
- open discussion topics/advice
- Diary entries
book reviews(You’ve heard it here…I will no longer be doing book reviews. Maybe book recommendations from time to time.)
Does this seem like a lot? Yes, yes it does. But it’s organized in sections so anyone can click on a topic they please. These are all topics I enjoy writing about, even if some get touched on more than others. If you feel like you’re all over the place and you need some guidance or to stick to a certain niche, then give it a try! It’s not fun if you’re just getting flustered trying to cover all the bases. Think of one thing you love the most and could write posts about without getting tired of it…you just found your niche! If more than one comes to mind, then add that on as well, but stop there for now. See how it feels with those points first. The good thing about blogging is, you can change up your blog the way you want. If you decide you don’t want to blog about something anymore…then don’t. If you decide you want to start blogging about something from now on…then do that.
If you’re someone like me and like to blog about more than three topics, but you’re organized with it and it’s fun for you, then keep doing you. These are your areas. These are where you thrive. Just be consistent and love what you write!
How do you feel about sticking to a certain niche?
Yes! I’m so glad I’m not the only one who’s confident about their multi-niche blog. I blog about many things but I keep things organized, in categories, and I believe it all flows well. Great post. xx

Thank you! And I think that as long as you enjoy what you talk about and aren’t overwhelmed then it’s just fine!
Thank you for writing this when you did! I am currently dabbling across a few themes, though I circle back on the benefits to “health and wellness”. As long as the organization is there – that’s what matters!
Great post and thank you!
Exactly. Organization is key! Thank you for reading and I’m glad it could help ♥
Love this!! I cover a lot of topics, but with scheduling certain topics for certain days, it feels pretty organized for me.
Yes! It’s all about scheduling
Yes!!
Personally, I love reading blogs that cover many topics. They’re so much more interesting! And I love that they give the blogger plenty of opportunities to let their readers really get to know them.
This is true! You get a lot of variety and also the blogger gets to attract different kinds of people.
Blogs that have one topic can get a little boring. I do like variety. However, I think people should stick with what works for them . For me, I am more of a life style inspirational variety blogger. sometimes I don’t know 🤷🏽♀️ where I fit in lol
You don’t fit in…you stand out. And that’s what it’s all about. Standing out and just doing you girl!
I don’t think I could stick to one niche as I’d get bored! I need that variety to keep motivated and creative. I did mean to only stick to three niches (books, food, and travel) though I seem to have also become a product reviewer of any type as well! I’ve never thought that a blogger was better based on them only having one or two niches so I totally agree with you.
Agree! I would run out of ideas on stuff to talk about if I didn’t have a variety. And same…some bloggers feel that way. Like I said in my post, if it works for them then that’s great! But it doesn’t define the outcome of how a blogger is going to do ultimately.
This is great advice! I am not even sure what my niche is … life stories, inspiration, special needs … doing my own thing. I think everyone should just do what they love and be themselves and write about whatever you want!
you hit the nail right on the head with this!
