Diary Entry #27

Dear Diary,

I’ve really been trying to get into affirmations and manifestations lately. Alongside that, I’ve also been trying to work on my daily praying and bible studies as well. I just want to set myself up for the best life possible.

However, I have got to say that the whole manifestations thing is like a tidbit complicated for me. I’m saying this as someone who has never really manifested anything before (not intentionally anyway). Manifesting is basically making statements and putting them out into the atmosphere such as “I will get a car.” As easy as that sounds, there are a few reasons why it’s a little hard for me. First of all, when you’re putting things out into the atmosphere, you’re putting EVERYTHING…good and bad.

Problem.

I have a huge problem still with saying things like “hopefully this will happen”, “I don’t know if it’ll work but I’ll try”, “fingers crossed people will like this”, etc. If you’re not going all in, then you’re out. Meaning, you have to say this or that will and is happening. Not speaking in that confident tone might just set you up for your future failure. I don’t want that, so I’m working hard on getting rid of that mentality. Second of all, you have to be so precise. It’s preferred to be as detailed as possible. I never know how detailed to be. I was trying to write down my manifestations on my whiteboard and I told my mom how I wrote them. She told me I needed to be more detailed. So, I wrote them down in a more simple form. For example, “I will eat food.” Instead, you should write it like, ” I will eat chicken today at 5pm in my home.” I still have a lot of work to do, Lord.

I’m going to get it together. Or should I say I’m going to get it together this month, on a Tuesday, around 12pm?

Something that I learned from the Manifestation Babe podcast recently is that you don’t always have to be super specific, instead you can decide what you want and then focus on the feeling you want to have because the universe is reading your vibration, not your diary. So if you FEEL good regardless of the small details, you will attract more good feelings. Does that make sense? Some people thrive on being really specific and others feel overwhelmed so it really depends on what feels good to you.
