Close your eyes and take a big inhale. Now, imagine the scent you’re inhaling is that perfect holiday scent. It’s the scent that lets you know the Christmas season is here and the one you can’t live without during the holidays.
Now, open your eyes. Which scent did you smell? There are many great scents out there, but when it comes to the holidays, we know that certain scents take the cake! When it comes to these scents, it’s hard to think of anything else besides Christmas! Though there are many scents for the holidays, there are staples that you can’t go without. Keep reading to check out the five best scents for the holidays and comment if one of them was the one you were smelling!

Cinnamon. Whether in a candle or your favorite treat, cinnamon is a staple scent that lets you know the holiday season is here. The smell is amazing and makes your home feel warm and cozy. It even makes a perfect addition to your favorite seasonal holiday drink as you inhale the scent before taking a sip.
Ginger. When I think of ginger, I immediately think of gingerbread! Gingerbread men, houses, and all! All you have to do is close your eyes and you can smell it in the air.
Pine. When it comes to pine, the first thing people probably think about is pine trees. Those who prefer real Christmas trees over fake get to enjoy this holiday scent. Those who don’t prefer real trees can still enjoy it by using essential oils or candles throughout the house. It may not be the real thing but it can still give you that effect as if you have the real thing there!
Peppermint. For some, peppermint makes you think of their grandma’s house, for others a candy cane, and for the coffee lovers…a peppermint mocha! Peppermint is a long-time scent that will never die out. It might not be a favorite for most people but it’s still very loved by many people worldwide. Peppermint gives an old-school Christmas scent to me and that’s something many can never get tired of!
Vanilla. Oh, the sweet smell of vanilla! This is a classic scent that will never die. Not just a staple in many Christmas treats, it makes a staple candle scent to fill your home. Vanilla is a scent for those who love to eat AND smell something sweet!
Any of these scents in the air will alert you that the holidays are here. All of these smell amazing, but my favorite would have to be vanilla!
Which holiday scent is your favorite and which one could you smell in the beginning? Let me know in the comments!
