I love a good blogger tag, especially when it’s themed, so I sought out to find a fun Christmas tag filled with fun questions to answers. Blogger tags are a great way to allow you guys to get to know me a little bit better and this time you’re getting to know how I feel about the holidays, Christmas, and everything that’s involved with it! As I searched for a fun tag, I came upon one that I found on Hello Cuppies. It has so many cute and thoughtful questions!
With that being said, keep reading to find out my answers to The Christmas Questions Tag!

What’s your favorite Christmas movie?
I always dislike questions asking for my favorite anything because I simply can’t pick just one. There isn’t one single thing that I love, no matter the category, and Christmas movies are no different. There are so many Christmas movies that I love, so instead of listing one, I’ll list my top 3 favorite Christmas movies (and even that’s hard). I may be cheating just a little bit, but it’s better than having the decision of choosing just one tearing at me. My top 3 movies fall in the categories of OG Christmas movies, Lifetime/Hallmark style movies, and black Christmas movies. My favorite OG Christmas movie is How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), my favorite Lifetime/Hallmark style movie is Merry Liddle Christmas , and my favorite black Christmas movie is This Christmas!
Have you ever had a white Christmas?
Here in Georgia, snow is a very rare occurrence. With that being said, we have had snow in the past where it actually stuck and I remember having so much! I can remember making a snow angel and building (or attempting to build) a snowman. I wish that it snowed more because it truly feels like Christmas when it does, but maybe one day I’ll be able to visit somewhere to experience a true white Christmas.
Where do you usually spend your holiday?
I usually spend it at home. Sometimes my aunt may have Christmas at her house, but the majority of my holidays are spent at home and people come over. I live with my grandparents and they’re always hosting. Although I still like to look nice despite being at home, it’s nice that I can be a little more comfortable and I also just go in my room when the crowd becomes too much.
What is your favorite Christmas song?
Here we go with the favorite question again! However, I can name one Christmas song for this one. Don’t get me wrong, I have so many favorites that I play at least twice (sometimes three times) before moving to the next, but it all starts with one song…All I Want For Christmas (of course)! I’m sure there are people that are tired of the song, however, I will never get tired of it and I could listen to it on repeat for hours. Mariah Carey truly sleighs (get it?) on that song and I feel as if I’m on stage giving my best performance each time I sing it.
Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
I do not. We have always opened presents day ever since I was a little girl. There have been some times when I was allowed to open one Christmas Eve, but it never stuck as a tradition like waiting until Christmas did. I’m very impatient, but I do love the tradition and it makes the anticipation that much greater.
Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
*sings* “You know Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, and Dixon….Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen…but do you recall the most famous reindeer of all? RUDOLPH THE RED NOSE REINDEER!”
So, I’m not sure about the spelling but I’m pretty sure I got them all right! Did you sing the song in your head too?
What holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year?
I’m excited to sing songs around the Christmas tree on Christmas eve. We’ve been doing this ever since I was little right before we put out the cookies for Santa. Something new that I started about two years ago now is making gingerbread houses on Christmas eve as well. It’s so much fun but also becomes a competition. Though it may get a little tense, I enjoy trying to figure out different designs for my home.
Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
Fake for the win! I have never had a real Christmas tree and I don’t plan on ever getting one. I love being able to reuse my tree, there’s less hassle, and I don’t have to worry about it possibly dying because I learned that you have to keep the real ones watered. I will just go look at the real ones instead!
What is your favorite holiday treat/food/sweet?
This one is another easy favorite to answer. I love to eat red velvet anything…specifically from my grandmother’s recipe! It’s so delicious and I love that hers doesn’t have chocolate in it (I don’t like chocolate). This year I’m hoping to have red velvet everything…literally! I want red velvet cake, cookies, and cupcakes!
Be honest, do you like giving or receiving gifts better?
I like both. I love to see people’s faces and their excitement when I give them their gifts. I always feel like I’m Santa as I’m putting the gifts under the tree. I also like to receive them as well because…who doesn’t like getting gifts? I will say that I’ve become more fond of giving than getting as I’ve gotten older. There’s just something about being able to give others the same joy they’ve given me all these years as a child.
What is the best Christmas present you ever received?
I have to be honest…all of them are! And yes, I did say this because I can’t choose but it’s also true. There isn’t one single gift that I can point out because I’ve loved every gift equally. I’m grateful for everything I’ve gotten in my life.
What is your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
I would love to visit New York! I want to go there at least once in my life.
Are you a pro present wrapper or do you fail miserably?
I don’t fail miserably, but I do fail. I’m more of a gift bag person because it’s a lot easier and doesn’t make me sweat trying to be perfect. I can wrap a present if I need, but please understand that it may look like a child whose parent just taught them did the job.
Most memorable Christmas memory?
I think my experience overall is memorable. If you ask me to close my eyes and think about my Christmas as a child, instantly I can see my mother and me on Christmas eve night singing by the tree. I can see us putting out the cookies and milk for Santa and waking up the next morning at 5-6am excited to see all of the presents under the tree with those same cookies gone. I remember opening my presents and playing with my toys instantly just as you see in the movies. My experience is something I will never forget.
What made you realize the truth about Santa?
I should ask my mom this question because I truly don’t know. I think I just got old enough to the point where my mom told me that she was Santa. I also could have figured it out myself because my mom did tell me that I was curious and once asked how Santa came into the house with no chimney. I’m sure I would still believe in Santa today if it was possible, but society would ruin that quite quickly.
What makes the holidays special for you?
What makes the holidays special is being with my family. I love waking up on Christmas day to the smell of delicious food because my grandmother has already gotten a head start. I love watching Christmas movies as I get ready for the day. I also love the official Christmas vibe once the holidays start. I’m a “Christmas in June” movie watcher myself, but so many people have such a problem with those who are excited for the holidays (despite people talking about fall and Halloween in like May). Once Thanksgiving is over, the vibe is there. I love the music in the stores and the decorations. It all just makes me feel so happy and takes me back…especially as an adult. The holidays are my escape from the reality of life.
I hope that you enjoyed reading my answers and finding out a little bit more about me. I would love to know your answers to one of the questions, or you can do the entire tag yourself on your blog! If you decide to, don’t forget to tag me so that I can see.
Happy Holidays!
