Blogmas Day 8: 15 Activities For Your Christmas Bucket List

The holidays are always fun because there is so much to do during the season. With so many activities going on, you can create your own Christmas bucket list!

Repeating your favorite activities is fun, but trying something new is even more fun. Check out these activities that are perfect for your Christmas bucket list!

1. Decorate a tree

Putting up and decorating a tree is one of the first things people do to begin the Christmas season. If this isn’t done yet, make it part of your Christmas bucket list and have fun checking it off as you decorate your tree with all sorts of fun ornaments!

2. Go ice skating

This is your time to become an award-winning figure skater (at least in your head). Give ice skating a try and have fun! Even if you fall a few times, it’s still something different and you can say you tried something new.

3. Build a snowman

Do you want to build a snowman? There may not be snow everywhere, but in the places there is, take time to go out and have fun! Release your inner child and play in the snow. Who knows, maybe Frosty will come alive!

4. Make holiday treats

It’s not the holidays without delicious holiday treats! Either bake your seasonal favorites or try out a new recipe. Put yourself to the test and try a new recipe online!

5. Create DIY holiday drinks

Do you know what goes well with holiday treats? Holiday drinks! Tis’ the season for creativity! Help yourself save a little money while trying out fun recipes by DIYing your favorite holiday drinks. If you’re a coffee lover, try replicating your favorite Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts coffee drinks.

6. Go Snowboarding

Again, if you live where there’s snow, try adding snowboarding to your list of things to do this Christmas season. Even if you don’t live where there’s snow, maybe take a trip! This can become fun even with your friends, and family, or as a solo trip.

7. Visit New York

For a local New Yorker, New York during Christmas might not seem so special. However, to anyone else, it’s a magical and beautiful moment to experience. Everyone should see Christmas in New York at least once in their life. Take a trip to see the famous giant tree, and all the lights, and get a kick out of seeing the Radio City Rockettes!

8. Go to Mickey’s Christmas Party

If you can make it to Disneyworld, Mickey’s Christmas Party is the place to be! If anything is more magical than Christmas in New York, it’s Christmas in Disney! Go see Mickey and his friends as they travel down during the Christmas parade. Also, enjoy fun rides and delicious treats. Something about treats in the shape of Mickey that makes them even more delicious!

9. Have a Christmas movie marathon

If you’re a movie lover and enjoy a good movie marathon, this one is a must for your list. Snuggle up with a warm cup of your favorite holiday drink, grab a blanket, turn on the Christmas lights, and enjoy a cozy night in.

10. Take Christmas photos

Whether you do a shoot alone or with others, partake in a Christmas photoshoot this year. You can choose to have it be more serious, silly, or a mix of both! Plan your outfit(s), hire a photographer (or become one yourself), and get to snapping those pictures!

11. Visit Santa

Think about the last time you visited Santa for yourself and not for your kids or nieces/nephews. You were probably a kid yourself at the time. Some may say visiting Santa is only for children, but those people are wrong. You don’t have to be a child to visit Santa. Let that inner child fly and go see Mr. Clause. You don’t have to sit on his lap if you don’t want to, but at least take a picture with him.

12. Go to a Christmas light show

Christmas light shows are a must during the holiday season. The way people turn simple lights into a whole production is truly magic within itself. Take the time to do a simple Google search and find your nearest area that’s providing light shows/walk-throughs for you to visit.

13. Go sledding

Another fun snow activity to participate in is sledding! If you haven’t tried sledding at least once, now is the time to ride down a snowy hill and indulge in the winter fun.

14. Ride the Polar Express

Did you know that some places have attractions where you can experience the Polar Express in real life!? You can now make your dream come true and receive the Polar Express experience from the golden ticket to the “hot hot” chocolate! All of this while traveling down to the North Pole of course!

15. Host a friendsmas

You’ve heard of Friendsgiving, but have you heard of Friendsmas? It’s the same concept expect make it Christmas! Grab all of your friends and host a friendsmas with a ton of holiday activities and treats! You can even have everyone come dressed in Christmas pajamas to make it even more fun!

With these activities added to your Christmas bucket list, the Christmas season will be nothing short of fun! Even if you don’t do all of these activities, try out some and make this season festive and fun!
