When you’re a child, the Christmas spirit seems to live in you automatically. You’re given the gift of imagination and the joys of believing in Santa Clause. The Christmas music even seems more jolly. You’re living a carefree life with nothing to worry about besides being good so Santa will bring you an abundance of toys on Christmas day. Life is good and Christmas time feels like a Hallmark movie no matter where you are.
Now, as an adult, things change a little bit…or a lot for some. We stop believing in Santa, and with that, some of the magic goes away. Adults are more aware of life, which can make it harder to get in the Christmas spirit depending on what’s going on. Some adults even become annoyed with Christmas music because it’s played all day at their place of work.
Even though we’re adults, I think everyone deserves for it to feel like Christmas, especially us adults. If you’re looking for ways to make it feel more Christmassy as an adult, keep reading for a few tips!

Remember baking cookies with your parents for Santa? This doesn’t have to stop, except now you don’t need your parents to use the oven and you can have all the cookies to yourself! Find a fun recipe, turn on your Christmas music, and start baking! If you don’t want to do cookies, there are tons of different Christmas goodies you can make at home. This is perfect to enjoy while you watch your vlogmas videos!
5. Watch Christmas Movies
If you’re not a fan of vlogmas or just want different options, Christmas movies never go out of style! Getting into the Christmas spirit is much harder as adults when we have a million things on our minds and the feeling of not having enough time. I love getting into the mood by decorating, Christmas music, and watching some Christmas movies or episodes from my favourite series. I love the coziness!
Yes, I love all of those! The second November hits I’m playing Christmas music. All of these really help get you into the spirit 🙌🏾
