Blogmas Day 3: Make Money To Support That Holiday Shopping!

We are into December now and the countdown is on for Christmas! At this point, everyone might be giving you hints about what they want for Christmas. If you have children or even nephews, nieces or baby cousins, then you may be getting a long list of toys that they want for Christmas. If you work at a place that does things like secret Santa parties, then you might be figuring out what exactly you are going to get your coworker. Even more important…where is that money coming from? Surprisingly, when the holidays begin to come in at you full force, so does the bills. It is sad to say that they don’t stop when the holidays are around. I mean, how cool would that be!? That would mean there would be a lot more money you could save to get everyone (or at least most people) their Christmas gifts.

Life may not work that way,  so sometimes during the holidays, you have to get a little creative (but not risky) with getting a little extra cash. It can be difficult figuring out how to get some extra cash for Christmas, but that is why you’re reading this post! I’m giving you guys a few ways you can safely make some extra cash and not have to worry about spending any bill money or disappointing any family members, friends, or coworkers. Just read below and learn how to get that dough!

One way to make some money is to sell your clothes or shoes. I know there are so many of us, especially us women, who buy things and never wear them. We have clothes or shoes we only wore for one special occasion and now the only thing they are doing is sitting in the closet and collecting dust. Why not get some money back on those items? If you are anything like me, then you might be struggling to part with some of the things in your closet. I have plenty of clothes in my closet that has tags and shoes that barely left the box. If you do too, then it just might be time to part with them. Not only will you get a little more money for the holidays, but you will be doing a deep clean for the new year! There are so many ways you can sell your items. You can do a yard sale or, of course, with it being 2019, just use technology. There are many apps out there to use. Pick which app works best for you and start making some cash.

I have seen many blog posts on how to make money or quick money and the majority of them included online surveys. If you did not know that you could take surveys for money, well, now you know! Just as with apps for selling clothes, there are plenty of websites that give you money for taking surveys or questionnaires. I will warn you though, that this can be a bit tedious and some surveys require very specific qualifications, for example, you have to be making a certain amount of income in order to participate. It also may take some time for you to get a decent amount, but it’s still worth trying if you’re desperate for some extra money.

The next option is to do small or “odd” jobs, but don’t try anything too odd. Looking for little jobs to do can definitely help you stack up some extra money for Christmas. You might have to go back to your childhood or teen years when you were too young to work in an actual establishment. Some jobs you might look into could be cutting grass, cleaning houses, babysitting. It is colder now and if you live in an area where it snows a lot, then helping to shovel snow for some money could be a great idea as well!

The last suggestion that I have for you guys at an attempt to make some quick cash for Christmas is to sell your jewelry. Just like with our clothes and shoes, we tend to want to hold on to jewelry that we barely wear anymore if even at all, but it’s time to let go. Chapes JPL is the best place to go to get that done. It’s not your average pawnshop with the luxurious scenery from the moment you walk in, you’ll be ensured to have a good experience. If you live in Georgia, then you’re in luck! Head out to sell your jewelry in Atlanta, Ga where their headquarters are located. Grab your gold jewelry, platinum jewelry, diamonds, etc and get your cash back in minutes do you can start your holiday shopping!

Let me know if you’ve ever had to do any of these to conjure up some extra cash for the holidays!

  1. Hey sis, these are such excellent tips! I never thought about selling my jewelry. I can think of a couple of pieces I would like to get rid as it doesn’t suit my style anymore. Plus, I definitely wanna invest in selling my extra clothes apart from the ones I give to charity. Thanks for the tips!
