Dear diary,

Santa will be here in a few days, and Santa is me! Something that I loved to do as I’ve gotten older is “play Santa” in my own way. I love to wait until late Christmas Eve when everyone is asleep to start wrapping gifts and put them under the tree. Well, I prefer using gift bags, but still.

Now, some may wonder if I have kids, and the answer would be no. However, I do have adults in my life that I get the chance to flip the script and surprise. It’s become joyous for me to see their reactions just as they’ve seen mine as a child. It’s a good feeling when you can become the Santa of the family. Every year isn’t the same, but being able to give something on Christmas day and make my family happy means the world!
