Some people may have their Christmas tree up the second Thanksgiving has come. Some may have even put their tree up on the first of November. But others…well they may wait the week before Christmas (I’ve been guilty of that myself). If you’re one of those people but you still want to do more than just put up lights and a star but have no idea where to begin…I got you covered! I’m going to provide some quick ideas on ways you can decorate your Christmas tree! (Note: all ideas and pictures are from HGTV)

Idea 1: Match your decor

One way to do it is to literally just match whatever your decor is. Simple right!? Just get ornaments that go with the color scheme of the room the tree will be in!

Idea 2: Flock it!

Another, even more simple, way to decorate your tree is to let the flock do the talking. If you don’t want to buy a bunch of ornaments, then just get some flock and you’re good to go. I think it could make a nice addition either by itself or with ornaments. Whichever you prefer!

Idea 3: Spray paint!?

I just saw this idea on the site and I thought it was so creative that I had to add it. Granted, I do think it’s a little extra, but it can be fun! I’ve never heard of someone spray painting their Christmas tree but the idea is pretty cool (if you have the patience for it).

Idea 4: Statement topper

Don’t feel like going all out but still want to make a statement? Make it your topper! You can make the topper yourself or buy one. Whichever you choose, you can let that be the main piece and let it do all the talking.

Idea 5: Simplicity

This last idea is for the ones that don’t want to do anything extra besides put up lights and a star. Sometimes simple is the best way to go. You can put up your lights, maybe some solid color ornaments, and you have a beautiful tree ready to go.
