If you’re a blogger, then you just might be well aware of blogger challenges and awards. If you’re not a blogger or have never heard of them in general, they’re different awards or challenges that different bloggers have created. You write a blog post doing whatever the rules say and tag other bloggers for the blogger award or to participate in the challenge. You don’t receive an actual award, however, it’s a great way to connect with other bloggers and they’re fun!
I would like to give a special shoutout to Mummy Conquering Anxiety for tagging me to participate in the Behind The Blogger Challenge! You should check her out and read some of her posts, including what she shared about herself for the challenge! Now, let’s learn a little bit more about me!

I was once a singer.
Before you get excited, I use the term singer loosely. I used to sing in chorus starting from 6th grade and I stayed in chorus until I graduated high school. I started singing the same way you hear how a lot of singers started…in the church. When I was in college, I could’ve gotten into chorus, but two factors played into why I didn’t: music wasn’t something I was going to do career-wise and I didn’t think I was good enough to audition. Though there will be no mix tapes, EP’s, or albums coming from me, my lucky family members and friends get to hear me sing or hum randomly every day!
I have a very versatile personality.
You might wonder what I mean when I say versatile personality. Well, some people prefer nights out to coffee shops or fancy dinners with friends. Some people prefer to go out to bars and clubs. Then there are the ones who do both…I am them and they are me. I love the calm, chill scene but then I also love to have fun with my friends at the club (currently missing this thanks to the pandemic). I love having the best of both worlds…minus the Hanna Montana wig.
I have astigmatism.
In 9th grade, I was told that I had astigmatism and I didn’t take it too well at all. Before that, I used to have perfect vision and could read the smallest words with no problem. Let’s just say, the thought of having to wear glasses did not sit well with me at that time. I don’t need them all of the time, just when I’m on my computer and I wear them when driving at night. I also need to work on wearing them more often. I’m terrible at that, but I’ll get better (once I purchase new ones).
I don’t like chocolate.
This one might come as a big shocker, but I don’t like chocolate. The only chocolate that I like is white chocolate and some say it’s not real chocolate, but I will argue every time that it is even if I’m wrong! I used to like it when I was a kid and was obsessed with Reese’s and Oreo’s. I still am but now I prefer the white chocolate and golden version of them. I’m not sure what happened, but the smell and taste of chocolate just became off to me. The smell of it alone sometimes makes me want to gag depending on how strong it is. I think the only thing I could possibly eat that’s chocolate is an ice cream sandwich. This is only if there are no other options and I’m really craving sweets. My cousin calls me an alien for not liking it, so I guess another fact about me is that I’m an alien!
I’m an only child.
I’m pretty sure I stated this on my blog before, but I’m an only child. I used to always want a sister when I was growing up. I could never decide if I wanted a big sister or a little sister, but I just knew that I wanted a sister. I guess God thought that I was going to be enough for my mom to handle as it is! It’s funny because I’ve always wondered what life was like in a household with multiple people. It’s interesting to think about how it is to get ready in the morning or how the day goes, especially for those with more than one sibling. As much as I do love being an only child, I can say that not having anyone in the house your age that you can relate to or talk to can make you feel pretty lonely. However, I luckily have friends that have always been like my sisters and I’m quite grateful for them.
I’m working on a new project.
I decided to throw this one in here for fun and because I wanted to have my own Youtuber moment. If you don’t know what I mean, I’m talking about when they bring up something they’re doing but then they state how they can’t tell you what it is which leads you in suspense and just a little annoyed. This is a fact about me, so why not add it in!? I am indeed working on a new project and I’m excited for when I do decide to tell you all exactly what it is! Honestly, letting you know that something is in the works really just helps me make sure I go through with it and not let any fears or doubts get in the way. If I give you something to look forward to, then that means I must deliver! Though I’m not saying what it is yet, I will say that it will start in 2022 and it’s something that’s long overdue. I’ve actually brought it up a few times on my blog so if it hits you…shhh, it’s our secret.
So, those are a few things to know about me! I hope you guys enjoyed getting to know me a little bit better, but I’m curious to know something about you. I’m tagging these amazing bloggers below to do the challenge, but I also want you guys to share a fact about yourselves in the comments as well!
awesome getting to know you! I”m an only child too — it’s lonely isn’t it, but there are many side benefits 😉
It definitely can be. And there are plenty of benefits *cough* not having to share toys *cough* lol 😂
