I believe having your own workspace is very crucial. Everyone should have their own spot that helps them focus and that helps bring motivation. About almost two years ago, I decided to turn a room that was an addition to my grandparent’s house into my own little office space. I’m still working on it, unfortunately, but hopefully, I’ll be done sooner than later and I’ll be able to show you guys the finished product!
Until then, since it’s motivation Monday and a lot of us are either newly working from home or have been but are used to switching up the scenery once in a while, I decided to give you guys some ways you can decorate your workspace!

1. Add Some Greenery

I, personally, am terrible with taking care of plants, so I’ll be putting more fake plants in my office but I’m going to try my hand at real ones too. Whether fake or real, adding some greenery to your office really livens it up. I think a dash of green, no matter what your office theme may be, just brings a nice ambiance and adds a great touch.
2. Stationery/ Desk Decor

I’m a huge fan of stationery and cute desk decor! Typically when you’re in your office, you’re probably going to be using a desk to work on. Who wants to work at a boring, bland desk? Not me! Make it your own little space with your needed stationery supplies and just some extra decor pieces. Your desk is like your home for your laptop/computer. You wouldn’t want your house to be empty and bland right? So don’t let your laptop/computer live that way either!
3. Keep Motivational Quotes Around
I’m a sucker for a good motivational quote. If you haven’t read my inspirational quotes post, then I highly suggest taking a read if you love a good quote. Decorating your workspace with canvases and posters of motivational quotes can help keep you pushing when you’ve been working just a bit too long. It’s also really helpful to set the tone if you know you have to get things done, but you’re just not feeling it. I have motivational quotes all around in my workspace, and it really helps to look at when I’m feeling discouraged.
4. Create A Girl Boss Vision Board

Creating a girl boss vision board, or just a vision board in general, and hanging it up in your workspace is a great touch to add. What better spot to place it than in the area that you most likely will be using to work on your dreams? Even if you’re someone who’s just using the area more since you have to work from home, it’s still a great reminder when you’re going back to work and have to use the area less frequently. I created my own girl boss vision board and I love it! I feel inspired every time I look at it.
5. Add Little Final Touches

Lastly, add your own little touches! I’m HUGE on aesthetics, so adding little touches of decor in my space just makes me happy every time I enter into it. Whatever those touches are for you, whether they be shelves, pictures, little statues/figures, etc., add them to your workspace to create an aesthetic and make the thought of doing work enjoyable.
Do you have your own workspace? What’s your favorite way of decorating it? Comment below!
Girl boss vision board. I like that idea. I should make one. I am also a killer of plants. As a kid I thought my cactus needed a bigger pot (it didn’t) and while trying to move it I snapped it in half……. oppps. Lol.
I love mine! It’s so inspirational and motivating for what I want for myself in the future career wise. And oooh noo! Lol well you live and learn! Thanks for reading and commenting ♥
These are great ideas! My workspace is full of plants, I’m a bit plant obsessed! I’m also a fan of motivational quotes, but I haven’t used them as decorations. Maybe I should!
I love the canvases on my wall! They’re so cute and really great to look at for a quick boost of motivation. I’m going to try these air plants that don’t have to be in soil. They’re apparently really easy to take care of so fingers crossed! Thanks for reading and commenting ♥
The canvasses look so cute! Ooh, I hadn’t heard of air plants! Good luck with them, I hope they survive ♥
a lot of people haven’t including me until I discovered them. They only have to be submerged in water once a week for an hour so that’s VERY low maintenance. If I mess this up then I’m clearly only meant to have plastic plants lol.
They sound super easy, and I just looked them up and they look so cute! Good luck with them lol!
They are! And lol thank you!
I love this! I personally don’t have a workspace at the moment, but I feel like if I did, I would be able to be soooo much more productive! When I get some space for myself, I’m totally going to use these tips! I’m a sucker for cute decor AND plants, so I think my workspace would be filled with both!
Please post a picture of your workspace when you’re done with it! I bet it’s super cute!

Creating my own space was the best thing I’ve ever done! I needed a space that’s somewhat secluded because with living with my grandparents, they’re always loud and then the home phone is forever ringing. I love being able to create a space of my own and I plan on it! I want to do a decorating on a budget post or something like that in the future, whenever I eventually finish with my office and my bedroom because when I started, I just had whatever money I was getting back from financial aid when I was in college and I had to make that stretch into the next semester so I couldn’t use it all. I can’t wait until I can finally show you!
Love this! I love greenery. It makes things so peaceful. I also love Beautiful stationary. I’ve never created a vision board but have always wanted to. Thanks for a fantastic post!
I originally was making a vision board, but it was aesthetically pleasing for me lol. So I created a girl boss vision board instead and I love it! I’m glad you enjoyed my post…thanks for reading and commenting ♥
These are all great suggestions. I love the idea of adding a girl boss vision board to your workspace. My workspace is always a mess, I need to find a better system for keeping things organized. But my walls are covered in cool prints and stickers, and I have figures on my desk that make it special.
As long as it’s special to you and it’s a place that you enjoy to work and is motivating, then that’s all that matters! Thanks for reading and commenting ♥
I love the vision board! I used to make magazine collages all the time
That sounds so fun! I probably wouldn’t have the patience for it lol but I see how it could be therapeutic too
