5 Fun Activities You Can Do In The Springtime

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m going crazy being in the house all of the time. The Springtime just makes you feel like you need to get out because of the nice, long, sunny days. Though we’re still dealing with this dreaded pandemic, that doesn’t mean you have to be in the house 24/7. Not having some sort of fun will drive you insane, and we don’t want that.

So, to help you keep that from happening, I’ve provided five fun activities that you can do in the springtime (and still remain safe).

Go On A Picnic

I’m not typically a picnic person because…bugs, but I’ve seen people do these glam picnics, and I’m almost sold on creating one myself. Picnics are a great way to get that social interaction while also staying safe. It can also be a fun and peaceful experience if you’re going to go on one by yourself. You can sit and relax, enjoy nature, and eat some delicious food. What could be better than that!?

Go For A Swim

I am in love with swimming! The second the weather heats up, I’m ready to dive in. Unfortunately, my grandparents had to get rid of their pool, so I don’t have access to a pool any longer. If you do have access to a pool, then I suggest taking a dive! Even if you don’t know how to swim, just walking in the nice water and cooling down from the heat is relaxing enough.

Plan A Day Trip

Day trips are especially perfect for all of you who like to travel but still haven’t been able to or just prefer not to for the moment. Whether going on a spontaneous trip or planned, they’re so fun to do, especially when you have a friend with you. You can pick a place that you’ve either gone before or somewhere new and just enjoy some new scenery. I, personally, feel like I need a bit of new scenery so this activity is perfect for me!

Go To A Drive-In Movie

I have never been to a drive-in movie before, but they seem like so much fun! I think the best part about this activity is that you can get all nice and cosy in the comfort of your car. You can also wear whatever you please because, again, you’ll just be in your car. Any activity that allows me to wear comfy pajamas is a win for me!

Roller Skate At The Park

This is such a fun one to me! If you’re subscribed to my mailing list, or you’ve read one of my recent blog posts, then you know I’ve been trying to learn how to roller skate. I still have a long way to go, but I’m excited to learn and glide as smoothly as all of these other skaters I’ve seen on Instagram. If you have yet to take on a hobby during the pandemic, then I highly suggest trying roller skating.

If you’ve been in a rut because you feel as if you haven’t been able to have fun or it’s been a while since you’ve enjoyed yourself, then try one of these activities! They’re not only fun, but I believe they’re all socially distant safe. It’s time to start enjoying spring and summer again!

Have you tried any of these activities? If so, which one(s)? If not, which one looks like the most fun to you?

    • It seems so peaceful. I need to try it at least once…maybe with some friends also. I’m glad you loved the list!

  1. Everyone is getting back into roller skating which is wild for me to think about! I’m still trying to learn how to stand on ice lol (and to think one of my childhood dreams was to be a figure skater). TX doesn’t have very many fun outdoor-ish activities which sucks. Def miss living in NorCal and FL!

    • Ice!? Oh no ma’am lol. It’s funny though because when I was kid, I used to want to be a figure skater too! Idk where I got the idea from because I couldn’t and still currently can’t roller skate let alone try and go on ice lol. California and Florida definitely are some hot spots for outdoor activities for sure!
