The sounds of music are the heartbeat of many people in the world. From those who are professionals to those who love to listen and pretend they’re professionals, it is a love for many. If you’re a music lover, you may be interested in exploring the best shows that allow you to settle down and watch which are all about music! If so, then you’re in luck. In this article, we’ll explore some of the best possibilities on streaming platforms today that are perfect for all music lovers.

Nashville

If you love country music, then Nashville is absolutely the musical show for you. While some of the songs mentioned touch on country music, Nashville is entirely based around it while also providing all the drama and heat that you would expect in a typical soap opera. Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere lead the cast here with truly spectacular performances and vocals.

Daisy Jones And The Six

One of the most recent musical shows to grace the airways is Daisy Jones and the Six. The film stars Daisy-Edgar Jones who can now be seen in Twisters, exclusively in movie theatres. The show received tremendous critical acclaim and was a limited series so you don’t have to worry about a massive cliffhanger while you wait a couple years for season 2.

The Voice

If you’re in the mood for a music competition, there are a lot of choices, but The Voice is arguably the best. New seasons air on TV annually while you can watch old seasons with your favorite performances on Peacock streaming. While these shows are all quite similar, it often comes down to the judges and the personalities behind the show. The Voice shines here where others aren’t quite as interesting which is why it earns a recommendation on this list.

Smash

If you love Broadway and musical theater then Smash is the obvious choice. Smash ran for two seasons before it was canceled by NBC and can now be found on several streaming services. The show boasts incredible original songs as well as covers and was essentially glee for adults. While it never truly took off, it did gain a cult following and also resulted in a one-off show on Broadway. It features nail-biting moments as well as the vocals from true Broadway stars.

Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist

Finally, you could consider watching a show like Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. This is a quirky show that plays out like a musical around someone’s life and has some wonderful covers throughout the seasons as well as the TV movie. It also has some great performances by alumn stars that you may remember from Pitch Perfect.

As you can see, if you are a music lover, then there are plenty of shows for you to watch across streaming websites both old and new. It’s just a question of finding the perfect fit for your tastes and your preferences. While some of these shows are quite old, it has been a while since we’ve had a great musical dream, the last perhaps being Empire on Fox. However, there are rumors that Glee will soon return with none other than Hugh Jackman taking the reigns.
