Spending time outside is exhilarating. You fill your lungs with fresh, sweet air. The sun shines down on you and warms your body. It all sounds wonderful. You might try to get outside more, but you have your work life, meal preparation, and everything else that requires your time and attention. Well, now there are many different ways to approach being outside more. You can try these different tips to help you get outside of the house more and live your life enjoying the sun.

Change How You Exercise
If you get up at the crack of dawn to drive to the studio for a spin class or to lift weights, why not stay home instead? If you have a pool, you have a perfect, built-in exercise arena, and you never have to leave home to achieve your fitness goals. That being said, you want to spend your time there in pursuit of physical fitness and more leisure time, not cleaning the pool. Hire a pool services professional to take care of your pool cleaning and maintenance needs so you can focus on other things.
Add a Deck, Patio, and Pergola
One of the biggest barriers to living more of your life outside at home is whether or not you have a space to do so. If your backyard is big enough, consider adding a deck or patio. Top it off with a pergola to allow some sun and some shade in. If you add a deck or patio to the backyard, work with an architect or contractor to place it right off the kitchen area for easy access. Not only can you step right outside from one of the main rooms in the house, but you can also easily move food and drinks back and forth without going out of the way. If you live in an apartment or condo, you can use your balcony or access the rooftop if there is an open communal space up there.
Install an Outdoor Kitchen
Another great way to move your life outside is to prepare and cook your meals out there. While you are designing your new outside area, you might want to add an outdoor kitchen to the patio. You can go all out and include a cooktop, integrated grill, a fridge, and a sink with running water. Since meal prep can take a long time, doing it in your new outdoor kitchen gives you even more time to connect with the world outside. If you do not have much room for a complete outdoor kitchen, a small grill will do the trick nicely.
Move Your Work Outside
If you work from home or have a hybrid work option, think about gathering your laptop and stepping outside. The new deck or patio is perfect for doing so. Add a comfortable chair, couch, or dining table and chairs for your workspace. Top it off with a stand umbrella if the pergola does not provide enough shade, and you are all set.
Take active steps to enjoy more of your life outside. Have someone else clean the pool before dipping your toes in. Step right out into the fresh air and sunshine onto your new deck or patio while cooking, eating, or working.
