What do you have when you combine motivational Monday and Fall? A post all about falling into success!
Okay, so you can’t necessarily just “fall” into success, but the pun is cute right? Regardless, we are in a time where everyone wants to become successful…including me. People are beginning to start up their own businesses, create YouTube channels, get into blogging, and finally take steps to reach the version of success they always wanted to become. I think that’s so amazing to see, but it’s not an easy road (says the girl on the same road herself). You’re going to need a few tips along the way to help throughout the journey.
Here are 4 few tips I’ve picked up along my journey that I hope you guys are able to pick up and benefit from as well!

1. You must be interested and passionate
Before going into any of the other ways, you can’t even (or shouldn’t) walk along the road to whatever it is you’re trying to do without being interested or passionate about it. Trying to do something without being passionate or showing any interest is a recipe for disaster. This might mean that you’re just in it for the money or you see other people doing it, so maybe you thought “Why not?” This isn’t the way to go. Going after something that way will have you falling into failure rather than success. It doesn’t matter what it is you’re trying to do, the process is hard. I can’t even begin to tell you the different speedbumps you’re going to experience down the road. Maybe you’ve already started and you’re seeing it already. The only thing that keeps you going is your interest and your passion for what you’re doing. You have that from the beginning, and you’re already successful.
2. M.A.P.
You know the word, but do you know the acronym? I will admit, I did just make this up, however, this combination involves actions that I’ve been using to ensure success as much as possible. M.A.P. stands for manifest, affirm, and pray.
Manifest.
I’ve recently gotten into manifestation, and it’s a little harder than you think, especially for someone who struggles with staying positive about things. Whatever it is you’re going towards, you want to manifest your success to its full extent. Let’s use money for example, since the goal overall is to get money doing what you love.
So maybe you manifest you want to make money. That’s it. Nothing else. Now, in hindsight, that doesn’t seem wrong because that is what you want to do. However, you can just make ten dollars and that’s it. You have to be a bit more specific, so maybe say something along the lines that you will make enough money to become and remain financially stable. Do you see the difference, and how the wording is used? It really does make all the difference.
Affirm.
Next up is to affirm. This is something that I do daily with this affirmation book that I purchased about a month ago, and I’ll be reviewing soon. When I think of affirmations, I think of the goals or things you need to happen that will get you to the life you’re manifesting. For example, you manifest financial stability so you might want to affirm daily that you are able to conquer money and your life is filled with wealth. I’ve said this before in a prior post…you want to affirm your manifestations. It really is the appropriate saying and is exactly what you’re doing. If you need help with affirmations, you can always Google and find ones that fit what your end goal is for success.
Pray.
This might not fit the less religious crowd, but I’m religious and believe in the power of prayer. Have you ever heard of the saying “closed mouths don’t get fed”? Well, this is where it applies. You want success, then you need to pray about it, but you have to be specific. Also, it takes more than just praying about success. Despite the title, God isn’t just going to let success fall into your lap and you not have a need or want to retain the ability to produce what it is that brought you to your success. As a blogger, I could pray to become successful. It could happen, but guess what? The creativity that I had and put out to become successful could suddenly leave me and then I won’t remain successful any longer. At the end of the day, I can’t say I didn’t get what I prayed for. You have to be careful with what you’re asking God and how you’re asking it.

3. Put in the work
You can follow M.A.P. to a tea, but if you don’t put in the work, then those won’t matter…not even praying. If you are a Christian, then you probably know the saying “faith without works is dead”. If you’re not a Christian or religious, then this still applies but it just means that no matter who or what you put your faith into, nothing is going to happen if you’re not helping by putting the work in to get there. We are all on our own journeys to success and trying to do different things, so the work that’s needed to put in is different per person. With that being said, a few things that are needed across the board include:
- Providing consistency– You have to put in work with being consistent and that goes with how you are as a person as well. If you’re putting out products or content consistently, but your personality and the way you treat others aren’t, then you have failed.
- Providing quality– It takes work to put out quality. Quality is key to success. If you wouldn’t read it, buy it, wear it, or listen to it, then why would you put it out and what would make you think others would?
- Creating a brand– You need to create a brand. This is what you’re known for. This is who you are and if no one can identify your work, then it has no identity. It doesn’t and won’t exist.
- Having a working marketing strategy– No matter what you’re trying to do, you’re typically going to need others to actually want and look forward to whatever it is you’re putting out. This involves putting in the work in creating a marketing strategy that works and will drive people in, which can lead to success.
4. Invest in what you want
Lastly, in order to fall into success, you have to invest in what you want. Not everyone can afford to put in a lot of money, no matter how invested and passionate you are. Though this may be the case, if you’re passionate and want to be successful, then at some point you’re going to have to put money towards it. It’s a need in order to advance and grow. This also includes investing in learning how to become better in your craft. You can start something or just want to start, but if you’re not willing to take in knowledge (and actually use it), then what’s the point? Investing in gaining knowledge for your project is investing in a future successful project.
Saying this, I have created a consultation service, that is specifically tailored to future bloggers who need help with starting a blog and current bloggers who are constantly starting over. The Black Princess Blogger Consultations helps you with the beginning steps of blogging, which in the end will lead you on the right path to becoming a successful blogger. If this sounds like it’s directed towards you, then you can sign up for my service here. Investing in something like this or any other services, books, seminars, webinars, etc will help you in the long run if you pair it with putting in the work.
The title may be cute, but in order to fall into success, a mixture of other things must fall come first. Everyone has their own definition of what being successful means to them, but these steps are universal in helping you achieve that.
Now let’s take these tips and fall into success!
These are all such awesome tips! Thanks so much for sharing!
I’m glad you enjoyed them! Thanks for reading and commenting ♥
I don’t understand why anyone would try to do content creation just for the money. If you don’t have the passion for the content you create, what’s the point?
I really need to work on M.A.P. I’m constantly worrying that what I produce isn’t good enough, so trying to shift to a more positive mindset is very important I think.
I never understood it either. That’s why so many people start things but never finish. Worrying about if your content is or isn’t good enough is a normal feeling, but not the best feeling at all. It really is about perspective and I do think following M.A.P. really will help. The more you do these things, the more you’ll truly believe and feel the words you’re saying. Sending lots of love and thank you for sharing ♥
I am in love with these tips!! Especially M.A.P.S, which id never heard about. Thank you for the great advice ❤️
I’m so glad to hear that! It’s something I made up, or at least I’ve never heard of anyone using it before, but the combination together really is powerful. I just love the good vibes and assurance that I’m bringing by doing them. I hope they work for you as well. Thanks for reading and commenting ♥
Yes yes yes to all these good advice for falling into and mataining success! It really does start within the mind. All it take is thought, but that thought requires so much as you point out: investment, affirmation, dedication, etc.
Thanks so much for sharing.
Exactly! You really have to be dedicated no matter what it is that you’re trying to do. Thank you so much for reading and I’m glad that you enjoyed ♥
Hey Deandra, I definitely agree that passion can take you a long way too. I understand that more every day as I juggle university with blogging. If I did not enjoy blogging, I probably would have quit many weeks ago. Thanks for sharing these other tips, all the best on your consultation business! 🙂
I absolutely understand that. I started blogging around my junior or senior year in college AND ended up getting a job as well so I understand the balancing act. I’m so proud of you for juggling them both and being passionate enough to keep blogging going! Thank you for the support ♥
