You know what surprises me sometimes? There are so many free resources out there in the world, and some people either don’t know where to find them or they have them bu take advantage. It’s astounding to me, especially when I see people take advantage of or not taking advantage and letting the opportunity just slip by.
What made me think about this was actually something that was shared on Instagram by someone I followed. Janelle (@Heyjnicole) does 1-on-1 strategy sessions to basically help you take the steps to quitting the job you hate and start working towards something you love. Her sessions used to be free, but they’re not free any longer. She posted on her stories about how she was waiting for a client, but she was stood up. This was when she provided the service for free. FREE. That person passed up a free opportunity and now if they want to try again, they’ll have to pay. People don’t take things seriously until their money is involved…unless they just like wasting money.
Anyways, I just had to have that little rant because it is annoying when you’re, not only wasting someone’s time, but letting a chance to grow slip by. If you’re someone who’s serious about using your free resources, then read below where I show you resources you can use for free no matter what you’re looking for.
The most obvious resource, of course, is the internet. This is also where you can find literally every other resource that I mention. All you have to do is research what resources you need. There are a lot of things you’ll find that isn’t free you’ll find, but there are so many websites and blogs like mine with free information just waiting for you to read. Luckily the internet is free(essentially) so you can keep looking without worrying about there being a limit as to how much you can search.
As I’ve mentioned before when I was talking about Janelle, she was doing free 1-on-1 sessions where one person (that she brought up anyways) stood her up. People who offer free sessions are heaven sent. These are people who are taking time out of their day to help others. I don’t know about you, but I would highly consider taking up that offer. The hardest part of having this a free resource is doing the research to, not only find someone who provides free sessions, but provides sessions that fit your needs.
Pinterest is like the center filled with free resources about an abundance. If you’re looking for topics on blogging, then it’ll really help you a lot. The blogging world thrives on Pinterest. If you thought it was just for cute aesthetic photos and ideas for home decor, you are incorrect. There’s so much information on there and it can lead you to a lot of the blogs you might need to get the information you’re looking for.
Libraries are probably one of the most well known resources along with the internet. It’s absolutely free to get a library card that provides you access to an array of books and more. I know with everything going on, being in a library might not be the first choice, but there are also virtual libraries. Yup, welcome to the 21st century. You can get access of a physical library in the comfort and safety of your own home.
I hope these suggestions were helpful if you’re looking for some free resources. Please remember not to take this information for granted. You don’t know what opportunities you’re giving up when you do.
