2021 Goal Recap: Goals I’ve Accomplished So Far And What’s Left

The year is almost over and, to be honest, I can’t wrap my head around just how fast this year went by. I believe that each year speeds by faster and faster, which is even scarier than any spooky season could ever be! This is why it’s important to set goals for each year and make sure to work on them. Whether your goal is to make more time for rest or to do something daily for your business, the year is going to continue to fly by and it’s important to work on your goals little by little every day!

I saw on Twitter, as I tend to see most things, where someone made a tweet about checking in on your yearly goals to see what’s left to accomplish. I love this idea because it’s easy to write down your goals for the year and never look back again until the end of the year. I have this problem myself and thought that this was perfect to do since I haven’t been checking in as I should’ve. I know we only have two months left in the year, but if a lot can happen in just a week then it can happen in the span of two months. So, let’s get into what I have done so far and what I still have left to accomplish!

If you’re a reader of my monthly updates, then you should be pretty aware of the format that I use. I’m going to use the same format when sharing these, but with a little bit of a twist. Instead of doing a full in-depth breakdown of the goals I’ve accomplished so far, I’m just going to list the goals I’ve done and the goals that I believe I can/will accomplish before the year ends (if not all of them). A full breakdown will be done when I share my annual update post. If you’d like to read my latest one, you can read my annual update 2020 here! Now for a recap of the goals that I made for 2021!

The goals that I’ve accomplished so far are…

  • Create a mailing list
  • Practice self care

The goals I will accomplish before the year ends includes…

  • Go over information from 2020
  • Send press kit to brands (it’s already created)
  • Obtain more podcast revenue
  • Show up more on Instagram
  • Learn how to budget
  • Continue fighting to love my body

As you can see, I have a lot of goals that didn’t get done yet, and a lot that I feel can realistically get accomplished or at least get a pretty good start within the timespan of two months. I know that my goal posts are pretty favored by a lot of you guys, so if you are a fan of yearly recaps, then let me know and I’ll start doing them more regularly (probably more so around July or August).

Have you done a recap of your yearly goals? What’s a goal you’ve made that you would still like to accomplish before the year is over?

  1. I think it’s good that you are always striving to do more and be a better version of yourself everyday. I [mostly] accomplished the goals I had set for 2021 but there’s always more I could be improving, such as writing more. I’ve been neglecting my blog a lot this year. Writing wasn’t my main priority and it showed 😏

My takeaway for accomplishing more is this: Consume less, create more. Ideally, 80% of an entrepreneur’s time should be spent creating rather than consuming. We tend to flip these around so that 80% of our time is spent consuming, which I’m totally guilty of doing. I spent the weekend binging on Netflix and wafer cookies which I’m not proud of….

    • I think you’re being a little hard on yourself. There’s definitely always going to be more to do and improve on, but also don’t forget to celebrate the fact that you accomplished most of your goals! I think you can start working on writing more before the year is over but make a set goal of how much you want to write for 2022. When it comes to accomplishing more, I think that’s why as content creators, it’s good to stick with the same system as with working in an office…work during the week and rest on the weekend. It also helps to bulk create so, if you want, you can take a Tuesday off or something because you already accomplished a lot for the week. You enjoyed your weekend and relaxed…you should be proud! You deserve it!

  2. great work on your blog! your site looks fantastic & professional! <3
and good luck with accomplishing everything else on your list — you've got this

    • Thank you so much! It took a little longer to finish than I planned so the feedback on it means a lot ♥. I also appreciate your kind and motivating words ♥
