It’s that time again! It’s time to do a fun Christmas tag! I always love doing these because I love Christmas (obviously), and it’s fun to answer Christmas questions. As always, I googled some questions and found a list of 70 questions from Wisledge.com! Of course, I wasn’t going to answer 70 questions, so I curated a little tag of my own using fifteen of the questions from that tag. So, without further ado, let’s get into it!

1. Which Christmas candles are your favorite?
So far, the only candles I’ve really used are from Bath and Body Works, but the Christmas candles that I love would have to be Winter Candy Apple and Vanilla Bean Noel. As an added bonus, this isn’t a Christmas candle, but I love to burn Mahogany Teakwood any time of the year!
2. What is your usual plan for Christmas?
My usual plan for Christmas involves waking up extremely excited, blasting Christmas music, watching whatever Christmas show is on TV while eating breakfast, getting ready while my stomach is growling from the smell of the food, and eating with my family plus opening gifts! A pretty solid plan if you ask me.
3. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
I’m pretty simple with my tree. One day would like to add tinsel and all the trimmings that I see a lot of people do because it’s so beautiful! But for now, I just add cute ornaments and lights on the tree. Of course, I can’t forget the tree stocking and the star. I do like to switch it up each year with the ornaments. I bought these colorful ornaments and I love to pick different color schemes each year. I also recently bought rose gold ornaments that I use for when I’m in a more aesthetic mood.
4. What is your favorite Christmas movie?
This is a hard one for me to choose, but I’d have to go with How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000).
5. What do you like the most during Christmas?
I’m going to get this out of the way and say…THE FOOD! Now that that’s out of the way, let me get a little sentimental for a moment. If this was asked to me as a kid, I would say opening presents would be what I like the most. As an adult, I still love opening presents, but I’ve gone to love the look of others’ faces when they open theirs. I’m always so excited just thinking about how someone will love their gift!
6. Do you celebrate Christmas with your family?
Yes! Every single year.
7. Which flavor of cake do you like the most at Christmas?
Red Velvet! Specifically, my grandmother’s red velvet cake. I don’t like chocolate and the way she makes it with this type of fake chocolate, it’s so delicious! She makes regular red velvet cake and red velvet cheesecake. I devour it all up every time! I’ve even made a cake one Christmas using her recipe and I use it to make my own red velvet cookies.
8. Do you feel motivated during this time of year?
Honestly? Yes and no. I love Christmas so all of the holiday magic just gives me so much inspiration with creating, but as far as actually wanting to work? I rather not! Usually, around this time, the only thing I’m motivated to do is binge watch all the Christmas stuff and drink egg nog.
9. When do you actually start shopping for Christmas?
Early! I usually start around September sometimes even, but definitely October at the latest. My thought process is, if I have the money to get it now then I’m going to. I don’t want something to potentially happen and then I’m not able to get anyone a gift.
10. Cream cake, Pastry, or Fruit Cake – what is your favorite during this time?
Cream cake!
11. Have you ever met someone special on the eve of Christmas?
No, but I’ve been broken up with on Christmas eve.
12. What is your plan this Christmas?
My plan is the same as every year. Christmas is on a Saturday this year and Saturdays are my church days, so I’ll be watching church, but it will be spent with family as every year!
13. What is so exciting about Christmas?
For me, it truly is the holiday magic. My mom gave me the most amazing Christmasses as a child that I can’t help but continue to love it. There’s just a different feel around this time of year. The decorations are so beautiful and the music is so cheery. I may be the only one with this one, but I also love the hustle and bustle of the season too. I love going into a store and there’s just a bunch of people trying to get their items for the holiday. Is it fun when you actually need things and lines are long? Absolutely not, but just the look of it all excites me.
14. Which is the staple song that you sing every Christmas?
Oh, you already know this answer! All I Want For Christmas by Mariah Carey. If you don’t start the season with that song…is it even the holidays!?
15. What is the message Christmas does bring to you?
The message Christmas brings to me is to just…have fun! There is so much going on in the world, in your home, and even just inside your own brain. Why not take just one month to enjoy life for a moment? I get that life will always continue on, tragic events still happen during this time, and this isn’t some Hallmark movie but if there’s something you can afford to instantly push to the side or let go of…then why not? I’ve said this before, but being an adult is such trash and I would do anything to press a button and stay a kid forever. Unfortunately, we haven’t reached that part of the future yet, but the next best thing is indulging in everything Christmas has to offer my inner child. So, I think the message is to just have fun and let out your inner child, even if just for a moment.
I really enjoyed doing this tag and tried to pick questions that were fun to answer! I’m not going to tag anyone in particular, but if you would like to participate, you can take the questions I put together or head to the website to create one of your own from the huge list of questions provided!
